6.4/10

I had a mixed experience at the Hyatt Regency Long Beach. While the views from my room were amazing and the clean rooms added a nice touch, I faced significant issues with check-in and the staff's response to guests. The food options were good, but the service left something to be desired, especially at the bar.

Rooms
8.0
The room was clean and stylish, featuring modern amenities like a large-screen TV and USB charging ports. The views of the harbor were lovely, making the room quite enjoyable overall.
Service
5.0
I found the customer service to be a bit lacking. Check-in was a hassle, taking until 8 PM to get my room, and I encountered unfriendly staff at the bar who seemed dismissive.
Location
7.0
The hotel is in a great spot close to restaurants and attractions, making it easy to explore Long Beach. However, the area was sometimes a bit loud and not as relaxing as I hoped.
Dining
6.0
I had a decent experience with the food options, especially the Marketplace. However, I felt that the pricing for dining was a bit steep, considering it wasn’t included in the hotel rate.
Facilities
7.0
The facilities were well-maintained, including the pool area, which was inviting for relaxation. However, I did experience issues with the elevator service during a busy weekend.

5.0/10

I had a fantastic stay at Hyatt Regency Long Beach, thanks largely to the really good service from the staff and the hotel's prime location. I loved that I was in close proximity to attractions like the aquarium and the Queen Mary. However, the fire alarm going off one night unexpectedly did interrupt my sleep, although the hotel promptly addressed it the next morning. Overall, it was a comfortable and enjoyable experience.

Rooms
9.0
My room was spacious and offered amazing views of the lagoon, Queen Mary, and ocean. I slept very well in the comfortable bed. However, being close to the pool made it a bit noisy at times when guests were outside enjoying it.
Service
10.0
From check-in to check-out, I experienced excellent service. Maria helped consolidate my multiple reservations seamlessly, which was much appreciated. The staff was always attentive, and Moishe and Anissa provided excellent assistance during my stay.
Location
10.0
The location is superb, with many restaurants and shops within walking distance. It's also an easy stroll to popular attractions like the aquarium. This made exploring Long Beach incredibly convenient and stress-free.
Dining
8.0
I enjoyed the breakfast buffet with a good variety of options including French Toast, quiche, and bagels. Although I wished there were more dining options onsite, the quality of food I tasted was quite good.
Facilities
8.0
The hotel's overall facilities were well-maintained. The pool area looked inviting and well-kept, and I appreciated the modern fitness equipment in the gym. However, I did hear complaints about the hot tub situation with children occupying it too frequently.

5.0/10

My stay at the Hyatt Regency Long Beach had its ups and downs. The location is perfect, just a short walk to the convention center and waterfront attractions, which I truly appreciated. However, the room I was given didn't meet my expectations, especially regarding the view and comfort of the furniture. While I enjoyed some aspects of my stay, I found that the overall experience was lacking in several key areas.

Rooms
6.0
I booked a Bay View room but received a city view instead, which was disappointing. The furniture was uncomfortable, including a low sofa with minimal backing. The bed was decent, but the bathroom was cramped.
Service
8.0
The staff were friendly and helpful, consistently going the extra mile, particularly a gentleman at check-in who moved me to a higher floor with a nice view. Despite some issues, their efforts made a positive impact.
Location
9.0
The location is fantastic, with easy access to the Convention Center, restaurants, and shops nearby. It made exploring downtown Long Beach a breeze.
Dining
6.0
While the breakfast options were decent, I found it a bit monotonous, with the same choices daily. The evening snacks at the Regency Club were less than impressive.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel's facilities were generally well-maintained, but I noticed that some common areas, like the corridors, seemed a bit tired. The pool area, although inviting, was not as clean as I would have hoped.

7.4/10

My stay at Hyatt Regency Long Beach had its ups and downs. Initially, I was frustrated by a 3.5-hour delay in check-in due to late check-outs from a conference crowd. However, the staff were very accommodating, offering us free breakfast to make up for the inconvenience. I enjoyed the cleanliness and comfort of my room, especially the view of the harbor. Overall, it served my needs well, particularly for the conference, though some features could be improved for shared accommodations.

Rooms
8.0
My room was very nice, clean, and comfortable, with a great view of the harbor. However, I found the bathroom door too transparent for sharing with a colleague.
Service
9.0
The staff were generally helpful and friendly during my stay. They made an extra effort to recover from the initial check-in mishap, which I appreciated.
Location
10.0
The hotel's location is fantastic! It's centrally located near the convention center, making it perfect for conferences, with plenty of dining and shopping options within walking distance.
Dining
7.0
I enjoyed the breakfast, which was decent, but I was disappointed that it wasn't free. I also appreciated having the market café downstairs as an alternative dining option.
Facilities
8.0
The hotel was well-maintained, and I liked the complimentary water stations in the lobby. However, I didn't get a chance to fully enjoy all the amenities during my stay.

6.2/10

My stay at the Hyatt Regency Long Beach was a mixed bag. The location was fantastic, being so close to various attractions like the Aquarium of the Pacific. However, I faced issues with cleanliness, particularly in the bathroom, which dampened the experience. The staff were kind and welcoming, providing great service, but some aspects of the amenities fell a bit short of expectations.

Rooms
6.0
My room had a lovely view of the harbor, but I noticed it was not very clean, with dirty socks found under the sink and long hairs in the shower. The beds were also quite small for my preference, and the window shape made the room feel a bit closed off.
Service
10.0
The service from the staff was really good; they were friendly and attentive. I had a particularly positive interaction with William, who went out of his way to help me with my luggage, which I greatly appreciated.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location is a big plus, as it's conveniently located near multiple restaurants and major attractions. It made exploring the area easy and enjoyable.
Dining
6.0
Dining options were a bit hit or miss. While some meals were good, there were notable disappointments, like cold pancakes and missing items from orders. It felt like the food quality could use some improvement.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel facilities were decent, but the fitness center did not meet my expectations. I also found the parking to be on the pricey side, which was somewhat inconvenient for a longer stay.
